THREAD Feb/Mar 06 - Issue 6
 As you may be aware the majority of our activity is funded through Northwest Development Agency (NWDA). Last year they published their draft Regional Economic Strategy for 2006-2009, and asked for comments. We commented and now a revised Strategy has gone forward to Central Government for approval. Within the Strategy NWDA has highlighted Advanced Flexible Materials (AFM) as a priority sector for the region within the grouping of Advanced Engineering and Materials.
