NWtexnet have identified 4 key technologies which we will encourage the adoption of :
1. The use of atmospheric plasma in textile processing
2. The incorporation of 3D woven structures into composites
3. Electrospinning
4. Fire retardency for advanced end-uses.
In addition:
Encourage the adoption of new and higher levels of accreditation and certification, particularly in aerospace, automotive and defence sectors, to support increased penetration of new supply chains
This support could be delivered as part of a technology programme through funded by ERDF and FP7 for example, with specific work packages proposed to tackle working practices and accreditation or of ‘buying in’ existing support and levering existing programmes |
