British Venture Capital Association
The BVCA represents every major UK source of venture capital that invests principally in the UK. It is dedicated to promoting the venture capital industry in the UK for the benefit of entrepreneurs, investors pratitioners and the economy as a whole.
Business Link
Business Links are parterships, led by the private sector, of Training and Enterprise Councils, Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise Agencies, Local Authorities, Government and other providers of business support. Their aim is to provide a one-stop shop of information and advice to local businesses, including export information and advice. International Trade Teams that include experienced Export Development Counsellors and staff seconded from the DTI offer specialist export advice and advice on other sources of help from BTI

The British Chambers of Commerce is the national voice for local business. The BCC represents, through a quality assured national network of Approved Chambers of Commerce, more than 120,000 local businesses from all sections of the economy.

Envirowise
Envirowise was launched in 1994 as a Government initative, to provide free confindential independent advice from waste minimisation, cleaner technology, compliance and pollution control.
The FSB is non-profit making and non-party political. The Federation of Small Businesses is the UK's larget campaigning pressure group promoting and protecting the interests of the self-employed and owners of small firms.  Formed in 1974, it now has 215,000 members across 33 regions and 230 branches.
International Chamber of Commerce
International Chamber of Commerce promotes international trade, investment and the market economy system world-wide govern the conduct of business across boarders; provides such as the ICC International Court of Arbitration.
LEP was formed to promote economic growth and prosperity throughout Lancashire and has developed from a merger of the Lancashire West Partnership and East Lancashire Partnership.
 
LEP operates primarily at a stragegic level, managing sub-regional projects where appropriate.

UK Trade and Investment is part of British Trade International (BTI) and is responsible for helping UK companies develop their export business. The National Exporters Database (NED) is a freely asscessible Internet directory of UK suppliers. The Export Sales Leads Service (ESLS) provides access to potential sales opportunities identfied by British Embassies, High Commissions and other souces.

British Menswear Guild
The BTMA brings together British textile machinery and equipment manufacturers and the needs of the global textile related industries.
The BTTG is a company limited by guarantee based in the Northwest of England.  The group was founded in 1989 with the merger of the Shirley Institute and Wool Industry Reasearch Association, orgainisations with histories stretching back some 85 years.
A farmer run organisation the BWMB was established in 1950 to operate a central marketing system for UK fleece wool, with the aim of achieving the best possible net return for the producers.
The Scottish Cashmere club trade mark is a guarantee of exceptional quailty in cashmere fibre and production.
Condederation of British Wool Textiles is a non-for-profit membership based organisation, providing a wide range of the highest quality professional services to meet the evolving needs of companies in the textile industry.
Lancashire Textile Manufacturers' Association
The Association provides practical and up to date help and advice on any problem to its member companies and acts as a point of contact for sales or supply enquiries.
The Association is a non-profit making organisation and its operating costs are met by an annual levy on its members.
The Association embraces an area including Cumbria, Lancashire, Greater Manchester and West Yorkshire.
